To access Adobe Creative Cloud for use on personal devices, Newhouse students must obtaining a new license.
Note: Licenses will need to be renewed every four months. A reminder email will be sent out when the renewal window approaches to mitigate any disruptions.
Instructions: to obtain a new license, complete the following steps:
1. Login to the web portal myaccess.microsoft.com using your SU credentials.
2. Select “Access packages” from the left menu.
3. Search “Adobe Creative Cloud Student Named License” and click “Request.” If it’s not immediately visible, enter “adobe” in the search box.
4. Click “Continue,” then “Submit Request” (no justification required).
5. Wait at least one hour (possibly overnight) before proceeding.
6. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. *If it’s your first time, here are instructions on how to sign into your Adobe account.
7. Sign out, then sign back in with your @syr.edu email account. If your license still appears expired, in some cases it can take up to half a day for the licensing to be handed out to your account. You may also need to clear your browser cache and log out of Adobe Creative Cloud and sign back in.
